Designing Quilts

Graph paper, notebook paper, and a stack of possibilities.

This is what my quilting world looks like these days,

only with plenty more scribbles.

I look forward to bringing you some fun patterns in the future,

but for now, they are drawings and hen-scratch!

With winter on the way, I’m sure I will feel the need to finish a quilt or two,

and to wrap up these new designs and patterns!

Stay tuned!

  1. I may scratch something on paper, but then end up winging it. Math is the most repugnant part of quilting. I avoid it at all costs. I would rather buy a bolt of fabric than do the math to figure out how much I need. My bolt allows for mistakes, and I am queen of cutting mistakes!

    • Funny! Quilt math has been the sticking point for me sometimes. When I was in school, I had a teacher that would tell me to work on the one thing that was a challenge. So, I’m working on quilt math!! However, sometimes you just need the whole bolt…..=}
